Jälleen uusi novelli, tällä kertaa englannin harjoittelua varten. Hahmotkin varmaan jo tunnistatte, he ovat esiintyneet edellisissäkin novelleissa.
Tätäkin saa kommentoida. Mutta ei saa olla liian julma kielioppivirheistä, en ole häsännyt englannin kanssa kovastikaan viime aikoina.

No mercy in Tokyo
He could kill them all. He had a reason, he had a weapon, he had a change. He had every right to do so… or had he? After all, it was just a couple of boosters trying to survive in the streets by robbing and selling drugs.
Yet, James did not care. Not anymore. He felt no pity to those bleeding, mutilated corpses in front of him, their faces terribly swollen and covered with stinky blood. Chests yet slowly moving… breathing the polluted air of Tokyo. Eyes, somewhere behind that all blood and their own guts, fixed upon him… asking for mercy.
No mercy… no mercy. No mercy was given to his brother, the one he had loved so much, the one he had desperately protected from life, and from himself, for about twenty years. To the brother, that was only a… a perfect cop. The one, that never took ‘dirty money’. The one that did his job by justice, not by greed.
Life never was easy to Thomas. He was turned into a machine after a terrible accident. 89% of his body was replaced with cyber. He became a psycho, but with medicines he was slowly recovering. Then, his wife got a cancer. After a long, painful suffering in the hospitals E.R, she died. He was left alone with a young daughter. He asked his sister to help raising her, for he was still sick and was being accused of taking bribes. Of course, this was not true. For he was offered a bribe to shut his mouth, not to tell something he discovered. No corporation leader wants his son arrested for drug dealing and selling weapons to streets. But, being a perfect cop, he did not take the bribe… it was a mistake. For corporation leaders have money… they have money beyond every ones imagination. They paid to the media… and he, the only innocent in that matter, was made a monster, corrupted filth and a child molester… they had their ‘evidence’ of his dirty ways… his evenings in illegal bars, his horrible habits of beating his wife and molesting his young daughter, his drinking, his… there was a lot of things, and none of those things were true. But the media was thrilled. It continued spreading the rumors, and the corporation paid more. In the court, the judge was bought.
The perfect cop was suddenly being the perfect criminal… he lost his job, he lost most of his friends, he lost everything… he lost himself. He refused to contact his daughter or sister ever again. His sister knew he was innocent, but he did not want to see the pity in her eyes, he did not want his bad reputation affect the life of his loved ones. So he suffered alone… drank his house, drank his savings, drank his health… he stopped taking medicines and changed them into drugs. He was fired of using drugs, so the hell, he would use them then! He was fired of taking the bribes, so the hell, he would take them then! He sold himself to the mafia, but constantly did underground jobs for a gang fighting the mafia. He was given a lot of money, and he drank it all.
It was James, who bought him from the mafia. It was James, who, after all these years and rumors and everything, was still his friend. He felt shame and refused to take James’ aid. But James did not give up. James forced him to come along, to James’ part of the city. James bought him an apartment. He bought him food, a car, a motorcycle, everything he needed (and did not need) just to show that he cared. That to James, he was still a friend. A brother.
But the cop, at that moment, was too mad to be thankful. But he stayed with James. He lived his miserable life for years and years tortured by madness, his own thoughts and memories of the painful past. But he lived… and James was determined to help him with his revenge.
But not anymore. The perfect cop never had a change to prove his innocence. He was shot yesterday, after he and James were returning from a pub. First, the bullets ripped open his legs. He did not fell. Then, the bullets hit him in the chest. He did not fell. His cybernetic body saved him… until the last of bullets hit him in his head. And he fell. Dead. His all white eyes staring the dark sky of Tokyo. The city, that never showed him it’s brighter side.
Hate was etched in every harsh line in James’ face, as he raised his gun and pointed it directly in one boosters head. Boosted yelped, and tried to crawl away.
“Haven’t you noticed, scum?” James asked coldly: “There is no mercy in Tokyo.”
And he pulled the trigger.
